How does it work?

Lowest unique bid auctions differ from regular auctions in that the lowest and unique bid wins the auction.

Example:

For an item there will be the following situation:

Participants   Bids   Equal bids   Status of the bid
 Marco, Mario, Mariella    1 Cent    3 bids    Not unique bid
 Giulio, Guido    2 Cents    2 bids    Not unique bid
 Angela    4 Cents    1 bid    Lowest unique bid
 Filippo    6 Cents    1 bid    Unique bid, but not the lowest

The winner is Angela because she has placed the LOWEST UNIQUE bid.

How can I place a bid?

To place a bid, you need to own “credits”. Each time you place a bid the system informs the other users about the current status of their bids. This information is called “Information package”. The Information package costs “credits”.  The amount of credits necessary to place a bid  it is indicated for each item.

How can I get the credits in order to place a bid?

After you register and insert the number of your mobile phone, you get 2 credits for free to try our portal. Afterwards, it will be possible to buy all the credits you want by credit card.

What kind of information does the “Information package” give?

You access to the private area with the user-name and the password chosen during the registration. In the private area you find information about the current situation of your bids. For each bid you placed, the system shows one of the following responses:

- Not unique bid (red)
- Unique bid, but not the lowest (yellow)
- Lowest unique bid (green)

The bids have to be placed through the website and they are secret. The name of the final winner is published at the end of the auction; during an ongoing auction, the temporary best bidder is shown.
